Elkhart County Miracle Earn Walk Off Win Last Night to Open Up Extended Homestand
Walk off ninth inning single seals the deal against Hammond
ELKHART, INDIANA—The Elkhart County Miracle took Thursday’s game in dramatic fashion with a 7-6 walk off victory over the Hammond Vikings. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the ninth when Mason Mayer’s base hit brought in the winning run.
Miracle all-star first baseman and former South Bend Saint Joseph product Bryce Lesher hit two homeruns in the victory. Right handed relief pitcher Pablo Ruiz notched the win striking out nine while allowing no earned runs. Elkhart County collected 13 hits in the game to improve to 13-3 on the season.
Next up for the Miracle is a game tonight against the Indiana Panthers out of Highland, Indiana. First pitch is slated for 6pm at the Elkhart Athletic Complex just off Waterfall Drive and Division Street in Elkhart. Tickets are available online at elkhartcountymiracle.com.
