Elkhart County Miracle in Hot Pursuit of Baseball Playoff Berth
Team Returns Home Sunday to Open Season-Ending Six-Game Homestand
(Elkhart, IN)–The Elkhart County Miracle are on the cusp of securing a second-straight Playoff Berth as they begin their final regular season homestand in Elkhart.
Lead by former Cincinnati Reds farm-hand Juan Polo (RHP) and Goshen’s Nate Pinarski (CF), the Miracle currently sit in second place behind the Northwest Indiana Oilmen in the Northern League standings.
The top two teams advance to the post season championships the week of August 4th.
Polo (5-1) has been electric since joining the Miracle a month ago, twice earning Northern League Pitcher of the Week honors while striking out 56. He is slated to start Sunday’s 2pm game.
Pinarski is among the league leaders in batting average (.404), and stolen bases (29).
