
Former Tampa Bay Rays Minor Leaguer Headlines Elkhart County Miracle Opening Week Roster
Northern League Champions Set to Defend Crown with June 4th Matchup Against Last Year’s Runner-Up Team from Northwest Indiana
(Elkhart, IN)–The Elkhart County Miracle start the 2025 season of independent minor league baseball with a home game against its Northern League rival Northwest Indiana Oilmen on Wednesday, June 4, at 6pm.
The game is a rematch of the 2024 Championship Series which the Miracle won and will be played at the Elkhart Athletic Complex at Division and Waterfall Drive.
Slated to start in the Opening Week’s second game at home on Friday, June 6, is returning Dominican Republic right-hander, Cristhofer Gonzalez. Gonzales spent two years in the Tampa Bay Rays organization before joining Elkhart County in 2024.
The Miracle’s championship trophy will be on display during Opening Week at the ballpark, and fans will be treated to Texas Roadhouse Dollar-night hot dogs and fun giveaways.
Miracle founder Craig Wallin says this year’s team returns nearly half the players from last season. Tickets are available online at elkhartcountymiracle.com.
