Elkhart County Miracle Remain ONe Win Away from Northern Leauge Championship Trophy
Miracle hope to claim Northern League Championship tonight against defending champ Oilmen
(Whiting, IN)–The Elkhart County Miracle and Northwest Indiana Oilmen fought to a 5-5 tie in the ninth inning last night at the Elkhart Athletic Complex facility at American Park in Elkhart in a game that was stopped because of darkness.
The two teams will now need to finish the suspended game tonight back in Whiting, with a potential Game 3 match up to immediately follow if necessary.
After notching a save in Game 1 Tuesday night in Whiting, right-handed pitcher Julio Garcia got the nod to start Game 2 in Elkhart completing 152 pitches before the umpires halted the contest.
With one more win, the Miracle can clinch the best of three championship. Miracle fans can view the final matchup on the Northwest Indiana Oilmen Network on Facebook beginning at 7pm eastern.
